The ASA lecture arises directly from the ongoing meetings of friends and members of the Section for the Literary Arts and Humanities of the School for Spiritual Science that have occurred on Zoom since 2020, the year that Novalis entered our Section discussions. Novalis and two of his most famous works — Hymnes à la nuit et Le conte d'Eros et la fable — will be featured at the upcoming 2025 North American Section Conference in San Francisco.
Canadian violinist Emmanuel Vukovich will join me for a performance of Hymnes à la nuit in a fresh translation for our 21st century.
