Dear Friends,

Jeffrey Hipolito gave a presentation with this title “Owen Barfield and the ‘Meaning’ Crisis” at  our Section meeting on December 7, 2024. Jeff is a member of the Section leadership team, and, as noted previously on this website, he recently published two important books on Owen Barfield. He is the chairperson of the Owen Barfield Society.

Jeff will return to our meetings in 2025 to discuss Barfield again.

Our Section has had an ongoing interest in Barfield, going back to the days when Jane and Terry Hipolito and Clifford Monks joined us for our in-person meetings at the Marriott Hotel Presidential Suite in Rancho Cordova.

Fred Dennehy, also a member of the Section leadership team, gave an earlier lecture on Owen Barfield at one of our regular ongoing Section meetings in June 2021.
